As an honorary senior lecturer at University College London (UCL) medical school, Dr Rakhit is responsible for the training of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors specialising in cardiology. Dr Rakhit was the recipient of a "Top Teacher Award" in recognition of his contribution to undergraduate teaching at UCL. He lectures widely to medical students, general practitioners, physicians and cardiologists in training. He is the programme director for training of cardiology registrars (fellows) at the Royal Free and is a member of the London (NE Thames) Specialist Training Committee. He has participated in interventional training workshops using “simulators” at a National level.
