British Hypertension Society
The British Hypertension Society provides a medical and scientific research forum to enable sharing of cutting edge research in order to understand the origin of high blood pressure and improve its treatment.


British Heart Foundation

The aim of the British Heart Foundation is to play a leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death.

British Cardiovascular Society

The British Cardiovascular Society was established in 1922, and is a charitable body. The majority of our membership are UK cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, but also includes other doctors and healthcare professionals. The Society is involved in education, the setting of clinical standards and research into heart and circulatory diseases. This website is designed both for BCS members and for all those interested in cardiology.

European Society of Cardiology

The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) represents more than 45,000 cardiology professionals across Europe and the Mediterranean. Its mission is to reduce the impact of cardiovascular disease in Europe.


World Heart Federation

The World Heart Federation is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to the prevention and control of cardiovascular disease around the world.

Royal College of Physicians
The Royal College of Physicians is a registered charity that aims to ensure high quality care for patients by promoting the highest standards of medical practice. It provides and sets standards in clinical practice and education and training, conducts assessments and examinations, quality assures external audit programmes, supports doctors in their practice of medicine, and advises the Government, public and the profession on health care issues.
